Anyone can be a creator.
We make it possible.
Endless Access empowers learners and educators through
open source games and game-making programs.

Who We Work With
We work with schools, nonprofits, afterschool programs, and educators who believe every learner deserves the chance to create. Together, we’re building a movement where young people see themselves not just as players, but as makers, creators, and problem-solvers.

Our Learning Programs
Our scaffolded programs meet learners where they are and guide them into real contributions to Threadbare:

Explore
Introduces learners to game-making through short, creative projects.

Core
Is an 18-session studio experience where learners design StoryQuests, art, and code.

More
Is a 12-session journey into open source contribution, where learners advance the official game alongside the community.
Skills & Outcomes
All curriculum materials are free to download and use, no matter which option you choose.
Game Design
Learners design how games work and feel, creating mechanics, challenges, and player experiences that make gameplay engaging.
Art
Learners create the visual and audio elements of games, from characters and animations to sound and atmosphere.
Engineering
Learners build games using programming and technical tools, turning ideas into fully functional interactive experiences.
Go to Market

Reflect and refine
Learners plan projects, collaborate in teams, and test games to ensure quality and successful delivery.
Future Ready Skills
Learners develop creativity, problem-solving, and technical confidence that transfer beyond game development.

Our Community
No learner should create alone. Endless Access is building a global community of learners, creators, game makers, and educators who support one another with feedback, ideas, and encouragement.
Whether it is sharing a sprite, testing a level, or mentoring on GitHub, our community helps learners gain confidence and grow as creators.

From Web Developer to Game Developer: A Non-Linear Path Through Open Source
A career path from web development to game development isn't always linear. Episode 3 of Loom Lounge follows one Threadbare developer's journey through open source communities, the value of being a generalist, and how community contributions are reshaping how games get built.

How We Built Threadbare in 8 Weeks (With a Team That Had Never Made a Game)
Threadbare began as an experiment: could a small team with little or no experience in game development build a playable game in just eight weeks? In this episode of Loom Lounge, we explore how the team approached the challenge, what tools they used, and how open source collaboration helped turn an idea into a real game. From early prototypes to community contributions, this story shows how game development can become a powerful learning experience.
An Open Source Video Game Won Best of GDC. Here’s What Happened at Threadbare's Booth.
Our open source game Threadbare received a Best of GDC recognition from Game Developer. But what made the week special wasn’t just the award. It was what happened at the booth.

Our Device Access Program
For many learners the biggest barrier is not imagination or skill, but simply having a reliable computer. Our Device Access Program expands laptop ownership for underserved learners and entrepreneurs through partnerships with schools, businesses, and local organizations.
